Inka Trail 6 Days / 5 Nights



We undertake our trek slowly continuing through beautiful landscapes until HUMANTAY (5917m) then we continue toward the gulch of SALKANTAY where we will camp. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)



Today we will begin our trek with exceptional views of the snowy one SALKANTAY (6271) as we ascend toward the step of INCACHIRIASCA (4880m) this beautiful mountain amazed us. Then we descend to SISAYPAMPA where we will camp to the snowy foot of the majestic one of SALKANTAY. (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)



After a healthy breakfast, we begin the walk, toward the valley of PAMPACAHUA where we will find remains of an Inca channel, then we descend until the archaeological group of PAUCARCANCHA where after visiting him we will camp (Breakfast, lunch, dinner).



We start off early after breakfast and trek to the highest point on the trail passing through different climates and ecological zones as we ascend the WARMIWANUSCA PASS at 4200 meters After the breakfast we will undertake with our ascent, the first two hours we will walk among an abundant vegetation with trees of wild

origin, for such a reason known by many as the forest so high of the world to count among their landscapes the flora and fauna at 3800msnm, starting from there until the high point it is typical Andean mountain covered with ichu or straw, mountains with perpetual snow among the mountains, after an arduous walk of 5 hours approximately will arrive to the high point, from there we will observe the stateliness of you walk them the deep valleys and at the distance the one on the way to third day with luck the envelope flight of the condors and we will feel to pass among us the thick clouds and it fences us the sky. After a worthy rest we will descend toward our second camp PACAYMAYU (3500m)



After the very special and dietary welcoming breakfast the walk is restarted an hour and a half heading for the second pass to one hour of walk approximately, this place you arrives very early and it is simple, before we will arrive the archaeological center of interesting RUNKURACAY for its construction where we will make

our visit to know its importance, to 30 minutes more we will arrive to the second pass of there we descend toward the archaeological center of SAYACMARCA, PHUYUPATAMARCA, WIÑAYHUAYNA. This day in its biggest part is original Inca trail that challenges at the time, a trail that is perfectly kept by the time, we will Pass Inca tunnels, wacthing, inside forest brow with abundant flora and fauna especially variety of orchids and hummingbird and many other birds will arrive this way to our third camp WIÑAYHUAYNA to 2650 m.



It is the day more important of our journey, that day we will wake up AM at 4:00 o'clock, after the breakfast we will go toward our final destination in the freshness from the dawn to 40 minutes we will arrive to the SUNGATE place of where we will have the first very impressive view of the enigmatic citadel of surrounded

MACHUPICCHU of mountains covered with vegetation, valleys, rivers. After a rest we will descend toward the same citadel to visit the most important places, after the visit we will have a free time to explorer ourselves, in the afternoon we will take our return train to CUSCO




·        Original Passport.

·        Personal tents: 2 people in each 4-people-capacity tent.

·        A backpack with a change of clothes for the whole period of 

         the trek

·        Rain gear (jacket and pants if available) or rain poncho.

·        Strong footwear, waterproof trekking boots recommended

·        Warm clothes, including jacket, fleeces. Thermal clothing is

         also recommended, especially for sleeping.

·        Sleeping bag (it can be hired at our agency)

·        Flashlight and batteries

·        Camera, films and batteries (batteries consume more quickly

         under cold conditions)

·        Hat or cap to protect you from the sun, rain and cold

·        Sun block cream, mosquitoes repellent.

·        Toilet paper

·        Snacks: biscuits, energy bars, chocolate, raw fruits, muesli,


·        Non-disposable canteen (Nalgene type) and water for the

         first morning. 

·        Small towel.

·        Swimming suit (if you intend to go to the hot springs in

         Aguas Calientes)

·        Cash in soles and/or US$

·        Original passport

·        Optional: walking sticks or poles (rubber covers required in

         order not to damage the Trail)
